Lonestar State has loner. DH, no man is an island. Tiger's star can be embraced. Just skip the attitude and enjoy the ride.

If my brother is an #######, he is still my brother.
If Nuk Hopkins wants to deny Clemson, then he can... But I for one will always think of him as the best receiver (so far) to come through Clemson University. I loved watching him play at Clemson and I love watching him play now. I hope next year he breaks the record again and helps DW4 to player of the year!
I hope that one day Nuk completes his degree from Clemson.

Nuk worked hard and played hard for Clemson and Houston. He was one of the best Clemson Wrs ever. He made the 4th and 16 catch that helped Clemson to become elite. He got baptized at practice. He hasn't been involved in any scandals. He gives backpacks and school supplies to kids every year and supports causes such as domestic violence issues since his mother was the victim of an acid attack.
So what if he said something some people don't agree with. Doesn't everybody say something everyone else doesn't agree with. And what happened to once a Clemson man, always a Clemson man? I personally don't like the way Martavis Bryant has been acting, especially after getting a 2nd and 3rd chance, but he's still a Clemson man and played well in Nuk and Watkin's shadow. But enough of my rant.

Fact is, Nuk was/is a fan favorite. Why he goes out of his way to disrespect Clemson is a real head scratcher for me. I don't get it.
If he takes issue with student athletes not getting paid to play then his issue is with the NCAA, not Clemson. He was nothing but loved here. So why the negativity?
And since he came up with that lame ponzi scheme comment, that will follow him his whole life.

Well said. I have always been a big Nuk fan until this recent disrespecting Clemson stuff and the ponzi scheme comment. We all have to remember that most NFL players are still young guys getting paid a lot of money, and it takes time to mature. Back when I was his age if I were getting paid that much I would have been saying some dumb stuff too. So I'm just hoping he comes back around at some point.

Tons of NFL players say their HS on player introductions. You really don't have much of a life if you start making conspiracy theories up about why a player says his HS in meaningless player introductions in the NFL.

And this was from a conversation with Arian Foster, who has been highly critical of the way how modern college athletics are run. So learn what context is. Neither Deandre or Arian Foster pinned the blame on their respective schools. You're just lame if you start hating a Clemson player based off a click bait article which leaves out the context and facts about a nuanced conversation between two men that played under the modern rules of college sports. Rules you never were under, so they have much more insight than either you or me.

I don’t take issue with Hopkins saying his high school, as he can say whatever he wants. When he was drafted in the NFL there was not a plethora of Clemson players in the NFL at the time like there now, and Clemson was “an up and coming program” at that point. What I find interesting is that in not mentioning Clemson he’s not doing anything to help further the football program at Clemson. I’m sure he has reasons for doing that, and they may not have anything to do with any ill feelings towards Clemson, who knows. Obviously we don’t need Hopkins advocating for the football program, because it will be fine on its own, but it sure would look good if our players were happy to announce that they went to Clemson like most of the current players do.
So regardless of the back story on this (or lack thereof), it just seems weird and that’s all there is to it.

Best player (currently able to play) on an awful team. So much unrealized potential.

D Hopkins, explain or deny. Tigers are forever, but are all our heroes? Up to you to do something that clears up a mess, or not.
