Why no more social media ban during regular season?

I know the “social justice” (threw up a little) movement last year warranted that the players voted to reinstate their social accounts. But now that that that trend has fizzeled out and zero change was actually made. Why is Dabo not going back to preventing the most disastrous outside distraction?

Dang you’re 100% right. I never thought of the implications of NIL and social media.

I mean it was enough to make Tony Elliott cry last week. Just a shame how it’s become such a pillar of society now. Absolutely disgusting and disturbing

That hadn’t social media’d, tried it, became angry/depressed, quit SM and am back to normal.

SM is ruining our society and yes I know T-net is social media, but if you don’t think there is a difference, reference the aforementioned.

Tnet is localized enough that it doesn't ruin society. Now that football is back, it's a great forum for football discussions. Football is just a game.

I steered clear of here for the most part since pandemic began. Debates on here about health and politics aren't useful.

The Social Media ban was always a team vote, not a Dabo rule.

But yes, I can’t imagine they even discuss it anymore. There will be players who are profiting from those posts. Can’t vote that away for them. Heck, as a coaching staff you might actually ban a ban on social media…can’t have recruits thinking less marketable players are able to vote away a revenue source.
