Dumb idea Prosecution can ask him why he stopped his car on Moselle Rd next to where Maggy’s phone was found. Among others….

My guess is that Murdaugh wants to take the stand. I don't think that will end well for him.

millions from his firm and get away with it.
Then kill his wife and son and get away with it.
He probably thinks if he gets up there he can talk his way into being innocent.
It won't end well for him

I can't imagine this really happens. I hope it does though. I wonder if this is a defense ploy to float this out there to show that Alex wants to do this, but in the end listens to his lawyers and doesn't.
Alex is dumb as dirt if he does this. I'm not at all convinced all 12 at this point would vote guilty, so why take a massive gamble and be asked some very difficult questions? The only reason would be if things looked totally lost, which I don't think is the case.
This is probably just a misdirection move by the defense to state that Alex wants to testify.

1. My own personal entertainment 2. To give the prosecution a chance to run that MF down the road
He's guilty. He was there. They may not have enough to convict but we shall see.
Also, ya'll see where Paul's GF came out yesterday and said that Paul beat her? She also said that AM got Paul out of LOTS of trouble when Paul wrecked his truck while DUI. AM ran over and took guns and alcohol from the car before cops arrive.
F AM, F the rest of the M's. Lock that ginger up and throw away the key!

I have no doubt he was on scene at the killings, whether he personally pulled the trigger or not. However, having seen the lack of logic in a juror firsthand, and needing only one persuadable juror to go his way, Alex is stupid if he insists on testifying.
I don't see that going well at all for him and hope he does indeed testify.

The kennel video is a devastating piece of evidence that only Alex can address. Mark Ball, a long time friend and law partner of Alex's, was the first witness who could definitively say both Alex is heard on the kennel video AND Alex told him repeatedly he wasn't at the kennels. Neither Alex nor Ball knew of the video when Alex was telling Ball that. And Ball was called as a defense witness. I think Ball may have sealed Alex's fate. When your alibi is "I was at home" when you were really at your secret lover's house, I understand lying or at least having an explanation for why you lied. There is no reasonable, non-damning explanation for lying about whether he was at the kennels around the time of the murders. He either has to say it isn't him you hear or he forgot he was there but they were fine when he left and were murdered later. Either will be a miserable failure but it's all he's got.

but never got to ask you. I get it if you can't answer, but what is your opinion? Have you been watching much of it? Do you think he's guilty? From a legal perspective, how have the individual sides been performing?

several of these characters and their attorneys.
Joe and D!ck were onetime law partners (along with Jack Swerling). Joe represented the Cook family against the Murdaugh family and of course D!ck is not representing Alex.
that in a nut shell is the SC legal community. very small
I think he's guilty as hell

embezzlement, house keeper stuff, etc etc, he has to have a little narcissism. Thinks he can talk his way outta this? What was his rep as a lawyer, I mean was he shrewd, or not?

Mark Ball described him as fantastic people reader. Jeanine Seckinger called him a ######## artist. But Ball said he was gifted at figuring out which fact or combination of facts would push cases to settle or win at trial.

I've paid it no attention whatsoever. Maybe I'd be a little more interested if Murdaugh had beat his wife and son to death with a bass guitar though.

The pickup configuration is a VERY important legal distinction in a case such as this.
