Defense is playing fine. Offense sucks and TNet very much wanted Elliott and Streeter gone and loved the Riley hire. Perhaps Tnetters don’t know jack ####. Discuss.

Liars figure and figures lie.

If everything else had stayed the same after Venables left there might be an argument to be made. A lot of those wins came with Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence as our QBs. A lot of those wins came with established staff with a lot of experience and our Tigers played complimentary football in all 3 phases of the game.

Venables was also part of this program for 10 years and has only been gone for 2. The losses are going to impact the % a lot more over a 2 year period.

If Dabo goes out and wins another National Title or three without Venables then we will know the program is bigger than any one coach.

I agree, with one exception.

I think that Venables was one of the guys that impacted our culture the most. He was a "Steel sharpens steel" guy. Without Venables, our guys don't seem to have the same mentality overall.

Lol you could replace Venables with Tony Elliot and those numbers stay the same. Gee it's almost like losing both championship coordinators in one off-season created growing pains. What was Dabo and Brent's win percentage BVs first 3 years at Clemson?
