It’s time to fire Amanda Butler and find a new coach.

Game reminds me of the game at Syracuse when the Lady Tigers blew a big lead and lost, hopefully it the Lady Tigers find a way to get a win this time after having a big lead and a lead for at least 35 minutes in regulation

that was,big lead and a great chance to win a 4th straight game in row and even the record at 12-12.This game and soooo many like it during the Amanda Butler era at Clemson are gonna lead her losing her job eventually.

She hasn't had 14 seasons yet to win the ACC or any other championship.

Amanda Butler really got everybody's hopes up after her first season when she and her team went to the NCAA tournament for the first time in a very very long long time, since Jim Davis was the head coach

Unlike Brad, three of her first 5 seasons are losing seasons and she’s headed for 4 out of 6.
Brad has had one losing season in his long tenure at Clemson.

Not sure why thats relevant at this point in her tenure.

Especially since her high water mark thus far is her first year with many leftover players from the prior regime.
Years 4, 5, and 6 of her tenure are notable for an overall record of 38-49 and ACC finishes of 13th, 10th, and TBD this year.

Agreed. Brad should have been fired after he lost to Morehead in the NIT last year. No one blows a chance at More Head. He is a loser and will prove it more than one more time before this season is over.

Butler recruits some good players but not enough of them. 3 players out with injury or illness tonight on the road. I attend games. I know these girls play hard for her. Some of them make some exasperating decisions on the floor but turnovers have been down over the last few games. Some of you need to go back and check the records and scores from the previoous coaches after Jim Davis. Butler has made us competitive. We are a game or two behind where I expected us to be b/c of injuries but its on Butler to have a deep enough bench to overcome that. Let's let the season play out first. They can still make a post season tournement. She is going to have a challenge next year if she doesn't get in some decent transfers. But I hope she can be successful because I know the girls enjoy playing for her. Still too early to make a decision on her future. JK, you don't really need to run down our women's coach to get even with those that don't agree with you about CBB. Show a little class.

I’m reminding some of the idiots here who made stupid comments in the past about wanting Amanda to coach the men’s team.
Those were dumb comments and they deserve to be called out for it.
I like Amanda and agree that she is a definite upgrade from the McKinney, Coleman, and Smith regimes. I’m pulling for her.

POTD.
This was a gut wrenching loss. That's the best half we've played all year. Can't think who was out that mattered or gets minutes other than Kramer. We missed her. She'd have had a field day. Ruby missed her too, I do believe. That said, I think Ruby thought she had to do too much. Inyang and Elmore will be better next year. But if we can get 2 tall rebounders who can shoot decent, we'll turn heads next year.
That last possession inbound was terrible. That can't happen. It was uncontested. Every time this season when we've had a last possession to get off a shot, we can't. Too many times we act like we've never played basketball. Passes are bad and telegraph. We play like the gameplan is get the ball to Amari and let her do whatever... even if the defense dictate other options... we act like we don't know what they are... it does look like coaching. But I love and respect Amanda. Is it her assistants? I hate I'm not there anymore so I can't say.
I regret it now but right after the game I sent Amanda a message saying the coaches needed to apologize to the players. I'll apologize to her. Knee-jerk reaction. And no, I don't think she needs to be fired. She can't be on the court.
As for next year, we'll be better. The 5* phenom is the real deal. It'll help Ruby. Ott should develop more. Wish Kramer would use her covid year.
Thanks for going to the games. Wish you'd discuss more about our team with us. Or me anytime.

The defensive rebounding was just atrocious. Miami absolutely had their way on the inside during the overtime; they were rebounding their own misses at will. They shot the ball well too during that stretch, so that didn't help either. As Clemgalalways® and others have been pointing out for most of the year, this team is probably going to have a pretty hard ceiling until they can acquire some better size so they don't get killed on the boards every game. Kinda reminds me of the men's team from 2 years ago with David Collins, Al-Amir Dawes, and Nick Honor as the 3 primary guards. They were all nice players, but they were just too small collectively and that put Clemson at a significant disadvantage that hurt them all season. Regardless, it's a brutal loss for the women (especially from a blown lead) because it snaps their recent winning streak. Clemson had actually been playing pretty well recently by taking advantage of a weaker portion of the schedule (after enduring a brutal stretch of ranked teams to start the season.) I still think the remainder of the schedule is much easier than the beginning portion was, so hopefully the girls can put this one behind them and stay in a good mindset. But losing to a 4-6 Miami team like that is tough. Now because of that Clemson sits at 4-8 instead of 5-7.
