Deer RHTig.........

Mar 19, 2013, 3:19 PM

Gotta new toy yesterday. Long search is finally over. SWEET shooting as long as you have @ least 40-45 grain ammo.

Nice.

I'm a fan of the .22 WMR round. And I've had much better luck finding those in the last 2 months than LR.

nice...been craving one of those

love the .22mag. I have a revolver in that caliber - that little shell packs a punch. Have read the horror stories about the PMR-30 though - hope they have all the kinks worked out by now. Like you say, seems to be a picky eater.

You're gonna have some fun with that little baby.

LR and WMR cylinders. Dang fun to shoot. I found some WMR bird shot this past weekend, which seems to be extremely rare.

Also found a box of S&W .32 long JHP for my Grandfather's revolver, good price to boot. All I've been able to find for the last few months have been wadcutters. These guys do a pretty good job, even having to compete with the big box retailers.

Very nice, need to get you the KSG to go with it!***

Hows the ammo situation where you are?

Mar 19, 2013, 3:53 PM

Still pretty dry, or are things picking back up? You're beginning to be able to find 9mm and .223 here and there around Gville/Anderson.

I was at Allen Arms in Gvegas yesterday

Mar 19, 2013, 3:55 PM

They seemed to be pretty well stocked but was limiting the number you could buy at one time.

I think things are coming back around, Grady's had

AR's in stock for like almost two weeks recently, which would have been unheard of a couple of months ago. Hopefully the gun gods will allow prices to go down and availability to go up.

Yo, RH, you ever pick up your PX4 Subcompact?

9mm target box still $54 bucks and scarce. don't know about

.223. Had 1500 rounds bought 6 months ago when I decided to get the FN

Joonyer scored three boxes of .22 LR from Grady's last week

Mar 19, 2013, 4:01 PM [ in reply to Hows the ammo situation where you are? ]

for me. I can't wait until the bricks start coming back around, because buying in 50/100 increments gets expensive for .22.

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm still looking for a lever action .22

Mar 19, 2013, 4:03 PM

Apparently, the Henry factory burned down or something.

Checked Mossberg?

Just bought this in the 30-30 and I'm happy so far. Should make a good little hog carbine.

I'd like to be able to claim "gun broke".

Mar 19, 2013, 3:59 PM [ in reply to Would LOVE to, but just bought FN 2000 last month.... ]

I'm sitting on cash for a Winchester shotgun and a Beretta PX4 9mm subcompact, neither of which has been available with any local retailers for the last couple of months. My insider at D1ck's called all three distributors they use and can't locate that dang shotgun. I might be able to find the Beretta but for $90 difference, I'll wait for Academy to get one in stock.

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Grady's got the PX4 in stock as of last week...

Mar 19, 2013, 4:00 PM

$569 if I recall correctly.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgringofhonor-lakebum1-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bass Pro has them for $549.

Mar 19, 2013, 4:09 PM

But the closest to me is in NC. I'd have to go to Myrtle Beach. Academy is $519.99, but you sort of have to be standing there when one comes in, LOL. I'll hit Grady's and the new Academy in Anderson spring game weekend if I haven't lucked into one by then.
