It’s only the beginning for NIL. Glad we are going to try and compete and I know it’s unpopular, but I am in favor of players making money.

This is a must read.

College sports will never be the same again when the “best team money can buy” plays on Saturdays!

Interesting but even more so, depressing.

It's definitely a new world if not a Brave New World. Where this all shakes out is not certain, but it would appear the schools with bigger fan bases and the wealthier fan bases will dominate even more.

We will see what the market will bear, but why not treat this like a business in all facets. The players now run willy nilly in the transfer portal. Sign the kids to 4 year contracts with no option for transfer or at least make them sit out a year if they are allowed to leave.

That would bring a shred of sanity back to the process.

I think the whole deal may begin to unravel, but I can't blame the kids for wanting a piece of the pie when millions are spent on coaches and even assistant coaches.

I love college sports, but our society and including me is the problem when we value a young man's prowess with a ball more than a young man taking up arms and truly risking it all to defend this country.

Agreed. The NIL itself is not necessarily the issue. It is the annual free agency that is causing the issue. The presidents, conferences etc need to sit down and figure out what they want this too look like in the future.

If kids are going to leave at the rate they do, then why should a program commit to them. If you see someone is a bust, cut them.

Bottom line you have to have some sort of parity or you are going to lose half your viewership.

By the way, I am really only watching Clemson these days and not watching other games the CFP or the regular season. Voting with my dollars per se until something changes.

And note this is from someone who loved not only Clemson but college football as a whole.

Right there with you. Absolutely loved college football. That's why this sucks so much.
