I don't think the defense is nearly as good as it was under Venables, but short of hiring Monte or maybe 2-3 other guys, it wasn't going to be as good. Goodwin is serviceable. Streeter is terrible. But Dabo loves him so much he can't see it.

Maybe Klubnik is the future, but DJ is the better option at the moment. I agree with you on Goodwin. In other games it has taken too long to make adjustments, and he never made them tonight.
