We are not getting depth from the portal. If you are a top program with established starters players are not going just to be backups.

Two deep players are leaving top programs for playing time at 2nd tier and group of 5 schools knowing they can move again.

If we have a starting spot open (DE?) and the right player comes available (Jan 2nd?) we might see an impact portal player come to clemson.

Maybe we get a player with multiple years of eligibility to agree to fight for a starting spot.

Otherwise we are better spending NIL dollars to keep our two deep and recruiting freshman who might stay and contribute.
