What does it say for the ACC if they already had a lawsuit

ready to file against Clemson the minute Clemson filed theirs? Seems like a guilty person wanting to avoid answering to the charges that they knew were coming. Why not just prepare to defend your position in the original lawsuit?

It’s their only hope of survival so they have all the wagons around it.
It’s a matter of time.

I thought all members had to vote on the ACC filing a lawsuit against a member school.

If so, they must have a secret ballot and have a majority

Doesn’t it have to be unanimous?

That would mean a team would need to agree to be sued?

No, you lose your voting rights if you sue the ACC. At least, that’s what I’ve read on here this past week. Don’t know for sure that it’s true.

So Clemson would have voted for them to sue FSU?

Clemson did not vote to counter suit.
From the Tampa Bay Times: The politics behind the litigation will prove interesting. The presidents/chancellors of at least six schools approved of the ACC’s decision to file a proactive suit against FSU in December, according to a sworn affidavit from Virginia’s president that was filed this week in North Carolina. Those schools are: Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Duke, Wake Forest and Boston College. At least five other schools were in favor of a special January meeting involving the suit against FSU, according to emails obtained by the Tampa Bay Times through a public records request. Those are Miami, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Pitt and incoming member SMU.

Well I guess that means it doesn’t have to be unanimous.

....and some don't have GORs either.....
Yep, entirely Clemson's fault for signing that, but not sure they had much of a choice at the time.

Actually they do have GORs. The Big Ten signed theirs all the way back in 2007.
