A win is a win but

There's some like me that want to be king every year and there's nothing wrong with that. At the beginning of the year the expectations is to win a championship (number one), right? For those who are satisfied with a bad win, do you just give up hope and say to yourself it's ok that we're not going meet our goal? I've always said that a coach shouldn't be satisfied until he wins the National Championship. You get a few months of being satisfied of your team and it starts over again. The reason that we dropped so low in the polls after one loss reflects the quality of play this year. That makes me really nervous about RECRUITING. Some of us went a long time for Clemson football to gain respect again. We just are just scared of the possibility of falling off the wall again.

then you will be absolutely miserable as a college football fan.

Honestly, if you are, as you claim, a long-time Tiger fan just enjoy the wins because you *should* well be aware of how hard it is to win with this regularity. There's plenty to discuss and plenty of issues to address/talk about, but it must be absolutely miserable to live in a world where you get embarrassed and proceed to gnash your teeth at anything short of perfection.

Enjoy the ride. Enjoy the wins.

It is incorrect to say the team is not meeting their goal. The goal of the team is not to win the national championship. The goals of the team are to win the first game, win the division, win the State championship, win the final game. If the final game is the national championship great.
