Losing sucks, but all boils down to one thing

Dec 31, 2022, 12:33 AM

We have no receivers, plain and simple. You’re not going to be an elite team in college football unless you have elite receivers. And we have none, we’re a good team, but we’re not elite. until we get some elite receivers on this team we’re never gonna make the playoff again. I’m not sure what happened, but we have no tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, nuke, Sammy, or anybody even close to that level on our team right now.

Now this is a legit post about our deficiencies. No bashing just straight up truth.

Are you the post referee now?

No. It boils down to coaching. They recruit and coach u the players. Dabo has failed the program after losses on coaching staff. Trading loyalty for talent and ability. There are other parallels here.

Yep. And the OL is a problem.

I am not willing to give the OL a pass. Poor Cade was running for his life most of the night.

Agree, receivers are not the only problem. OL is not sufficient to win at the playoff level. And while we are on this topic the secondary has been an issue all year, one I don’t see getting better next year.

Reed and Conn are the weak sisters on our defensive staff. We have been torched by big plays since the playoffs started. We beat Bama all over the field in 2015 championship, but their tight end torched us and you can see some variation of that every year. Mukuba was a pretty good safety as a rookie and he has been awful all year, really exposed against the roosters and again tonight. Our corners are MAC quality - this never changes.

Not only elite guys, but develop what you do have. Not

sure I can say any receiver under Grisham had improved from year to year.

Comes down to recruiting and coaching. We're not signing the talent we used to and Grisham is proving himself to be in over his head.

OL and receivers. OL and Caldwell had been stinking it up and we got rid of him but didnt bring anyone in.

first half. There were a few times Cade didn't step up or sense the pressure, but overall the line was meh.

I think we see a change at WR, idk. Not sure what the issue is there. Nice to see Randall get a few snags at the end. There is so much potential there.

Wide receivers don't play defense...this team is jus bad all around and if clemson was in any other conference we would have atleast 4 loses
