I'm taking a break from updates until I get something worthy to share. All I did today was hang plastic and clean a few shelves so I could sort and organize my paint, sanding stuff and everything else. I don't want to be searching for a 400g psa sanding disc when I need it.
I'll return after I drive the project to the garage.

And 1988 is working to finish welding a car sized diving bell so he can set the car inside it while it sits in a 6 inch wading pool so he can avoid any pollen getting in the fuel filler flap when he unzips it.
Currently he has an agreement to clean a junkyard of 42 old cars in order to borrow the welding rig to build the diving bell.

Our steps going out the back door were getting loose from age. When my son saw the lumber I'd bought for a new set he wanted to talk about it.
'Dad, sometimes you take things a little bit further than is necessary, sometimes you go beyond reasonable...' at which point I cut him off, "So you're saying I waste money and time which appears to make me look ####?"
'Well, I wasn't exactly saying that...' "No, you're saying I'm #### and waste money! I'm telling Kelly you called me ####." Kelly is his wife, my most precious daughter, far and above all my natural born daughters and she owns that black Benz. It was a graduation present for her being the first of my children to finish college. She is hoping I finish it before I die so she can get out of the BMW hardtop convertable and into something with class.
So I added an extra step, widened the entire thing and each step rises exactly 4 1/4" and has a 12 1/2" tread. See, I'm 71 and will be 72 in 40 days and I effortlessly waltz up those steps along with everyone else who passes up and down them.
Yes, I'm #### when it comes to everything I do. I've been #### since my father taught me to do it right or do it over when I washed and waxed his 1954 Cadillac Couple De'vile back in 1959.

I'm working on the highway from Gaffney to Toccoa.

I spent two years walking the road before I decided what kind of pavement to use. It's slow go being that my only heavy equipment ain't that heavy, it's an 05 Ford Ranger, 4 banger/2.3 ltr. It does good on gas but I don't think the bed liner is going to hold up to the hot asphalt.
