It's all fine and dandy right now. I wish him the best, but I hope he doesn't start poaching our staff and our current commits.

No mixed emotions here. Dabo should have thanked him as he did and then say bye. Let the players adjust. It rarely if ever works out. Too easy to miss the little things and you’re no longer All In. I’d cut him loose.
Personally I think it’s a demotion to go to USF. He could and should have gotten a much bigger gig.

If he was some journeyman coaching always moving around I would agree with you. But this is Jeff Scott. He loves Clemson and quite rightly takes much pride in what he helped build here.
There is no way Jeff would do anything to damage the run to a national championship or the long term interests of Clemson football.
And, I don’t mind him taking some GAs or analysts who could become position coaches and advance their careers. It’s part of the cycle and seems like this is being done in a healthy and classy manner.
Maybe he takes Terry Bowden with him. I’m sure the Bowden name would still help in recruiting Florida and Terry might like to be paid again.

Well, I hope our "drama" is over when it comes to coaching changes, but there are several others who might be coveted by other programs for HC opportunities. I hope not, but isn't that the kind of coaches we want? I don't want coaches at Clemson that other programs wouldn't hire to lead their program. This just means we have the right people on staff. Don't worry about Clemson too much. We will find a great replacement. My guess is, there are great coaches all over the country who would give their I-Teeth to coach at Clemson and to learn from Dabo and this culture. We will be fine, IMO.

I thought the same thing. Now there may be some who aren't quite up to what we look for who will work out just fine there, but we still are a coveted program by most high character players and by their families.

Feels like a mistake for him, but wishing him well. He could’ve done better than USF. I think the wisdom in Venables’ years may indicate he’s aware that being a HC isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, especially when you have a great thing going here. He’s already a multi-millionaire and the stress level is nowhere near what he’s about to experience.
I’m sure this hasn’t caught Dabo by surprise; he’s surely been planning for this for quite a while, just like he had been when Morris left.

USF is a great fit to grow. Scott recruits well in Florida. He can coach there for 4 or 5 years and then on to something even bigger.

We are gonna be just fine. The recruiting link isn't as critical now as it was when Jeff started taking the lead many years ago. Then Clemson was a harder sell. Now, we just kinda get the picks we want from a bunch of great players who all have us on their lists of coveted offers. Thant won't change as long as Dabo is at the helm. It isn't as much about Jeff as it is about Dabo and our culture. Jeff will take away some great experience from working with Dabo, but we still have "The Guy" in Dabo.

It’s not humanly possible for him to be All In. Anyone who thinks his spare mental capacity WONT be on USF has never made a major professional job move. The bond is broken. Let him go. Remember Cole Stoudt was twice the Qb with a focused Streeter as coach. Wish Jeff the best, but it’s time to say bye.

you know better than Coach Dabo Swinney are an embarrassment. The greatest coach in the history of Clemson University, one of the greatest of all time, doesn't need your advice. Coach Jeff Scott is Clemson. Let it go.

Believe this is a win/win for all parties involved. Jeff Scott's character an integrity are as strong as they come. Clemson is possibly the town that Jeff has lived in the longest in his life time. He's probably more a Clemson Tiger than those tossing negative comments here. To think that Jeff would try to steal a recruit, or put any less heart into his job these next few weeks, speaks more about those making the negative comment than it does Jeff. Most Tiger fans are torn, hate to see him go but happy for him and his family. Thank you Jeff, the very best to you....... who knows what the future may bring! Go Tigers!!!
