To kill some time before bowls, I’m interested in who you all think might get approached with NIL deals at other programs this offseason to shore up a position — similar to the Mafah transfer rumors last year.

The name I heard that surprised me was Briningstool. I’m projecting a bit in my rationale, but he’s shown flashes and with our anemic offense & low use of the TE position, it might be possible.

that tampering is occurring across the college football universe as we type and as long as the NCAA continues to wear blinders while sticking their heads in the sand, it will continue.

and go back to the old transfer rules where everyone got five years to play four. If you want to transfer, that's fine, but you will sit out one year before being eligible to play.

NCAA has punted to the conferences and schools within them. The courts have ruled against the NCAA twice or three times. The CFA vs the NCAA opened the door back in 1984. Now NIL lawsuit loss opened the door wider. The pending $3B lawsuit in CA will be the next loss in court. Now, in the courts view the players are no longer amateurs. So the players may become employees of the schools, and some want a union for them too! IRS will be auditing collectives soon too. Congress has been asked to help! LOL

i think after the super conferences are created the NCAA will be kicked to the curb

a player may have a conference held contract and teams will be able to trade players in the open

i do believe that a person taking day to day instructions from a state employee is an employee

Unless Briningstool is going to learn to or chose to block, he might as well turn pro this year. That is holding back his NFL potential at TE more than this offense is. There is enough tape out there to prove he can more than handle the pass catching part of the equation. I would imagine he gets a round 4/5 grade. Almost every NFL TE is a capable blocker.

I expect Pride and Lukas are being tampered with right now given the emergence of Lewis and Terrell. Teams are probably trying to poach Tre Williams with some NIL offers. I would imagine West Coast teams are trying to get Beaux Collins to come back out West.
