Does anyone else think we are looking at a power2 playoff starting next season?

A clear message was sent by the committee this year with an all Big10/SEC final 4. Yes, Washington has already played their final pac2 game and Texas has played their final big12 game.

Next season...

9 playoff teams from the Power2 (Big10/SEC)

With all the byes going to the power2.

Does the season even matter anymore? Preseason rankings shape the whole thing. While they aren't always correct the incorrectly rank 5/6 teams from 1 or 2 conferences then even when they are wrong it will push other teams from those conferences up the ranks so no matter what they'll have the top teams.

I'll always watch and root and hope for the Tigers but the rest of college football can kick rocks.

You’re going to have one and two loss SEC teams which are placed on the same level as an undefeated ACC champion and one loss ACC team will never sniff the playoffs

1 loss wont be an issue. 2 is where a Clemson or FSU might

be in danger of missing out as a non-champ. 2 will probably be very difficult for anyone else. 3 impossible for anyone else and highly unlikely for Clemson and FSU but doable for teams like UGA, BAMA, LSU, UT, UT, OU, TAM and UF.

Sadly, I think this forecast of doom for non-SEC or BIG schools is justified.

ESPN owns the SEC, and FOX owns the BIG. If you think they are not going to slant their programming to always boost those two conferences, you don't know modern broadcasting. Not to mention stacking the votes in polls, which is already a time dishonored tradition.
