Young Team

I keep seeing Coach Swinney, players, and TigerNet commenters (although they don't count as "official") refer to our being a "young team." Based on the starters for Syracuse, the Tigers are not a young team. Yes, there are a lot of promising young players on the 2-deep and that bodes well for the future, but here are the classes for the starters:

DE - 2 sr.
DT - 2 sr.
LB - 2 jr., 1 so.
DB - 2 sr., 2 jr.

OL - 2 sr., 1 jr., 2 so.
WR - 1 jr., 1 so.
TE - 1 jr.
RB - 2 jr.
QB - 1 so.

Offense is "younger" than defense. But the future is bright on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, I have no idea where the young team narrative is coming from. The defense is probably the most experienced in the conference

I'm concerned about what the defense is going to look like next year. Goodwin has had a lot of experienced talent so far.

the underclassmen are better than the upperclassmen

the only position that must be backfilled is LB and
Sammy Brown will be Trevor Lawrence of defense

this year is the worst defense we will see until 2025/2026

this defense decided Sr year over not going to the NFL
there is a huge difference


I'm really frustrated that we are now 2-2 and are still starting the won't be in the NFL on Sundays crew.

We have a chance to develop the underclassmen -- will we do it or just have to "Cade Klubnik" them next year and risk losing critical games again
