Yes. Several posts on the board have mimicked the same coot logic that it would be better for Clemson to lose in order for Brownell to be fired. If you haven’t been paying attention this basketball season Tnet has had some wild posts

I think there are tons of Clemson fans that feel the same. There are a lot on here. Probably the majority if they told the truth. I talked to a few of my Clemson buddies when we played FSU and everyone wanted us to lose. They are all multi generational Clemson grads too. One of them has their gradpa in the Clemson athletic HOF. One of them is very solid donor to the university, very solid. ANyway, they know the season is shot and all they care about is CBB being gone at this stage. I agree that wins now are meaningless, unless CBB is coming back no matter what, and at that stage we want to build some momentum for next year I guess.

Wins are never meaningless. That’s a shotty attitude. The kids who sacrifice their college years grinding to play a game they love with no future in it would never purposely lose. Or not want to win. The kids deserve all the credit. They deserve better leadership.

It might mean something to them at this stage, but not to me. This season is toast. That said, I respect their hard work and I want them to be happy. Whatever happens is ok is how I feel though. I get more into seeing Hall play well and Chase Hunter as well. I just want to see what we will have for next year and how they are progressing. I don't care about the W though at all at this stage. Win...lose...who cares at this stage. I don't. Most people do not. To bad we don't get some sort of high draft pick for sucking it up. We would be in the lottery.

I am not going to pull for us to lose, but I have hit the point that it doesn't bother me if we do. I know it means a lot to these young men to win, but there are a whole lot of people that worry that if we go on a little streak at the end of the season, that we will see the same show next year.
I am at a point of what is the lesser of two evils, Clemson losing or Brownell as coach next year? For me the lesser of the two is Clemson losing now. It's unfortunate for these young men that they are stuck in the middle.

I can't see how any Clemson fan would EVER pull for Clemson to lose any game. Just seems so... wrong. That's especially true in a sport like Basketball where, however crazily remote, we still have a path to an ACC title and a tournament bid.

We see the same with our fans. They don’t say it but wins are not celebrated and are picked to death as in we almost lost. Not much difference between Clemson basketball fans and coot fans if you look closely

We have fans that wants us to lose these last basketball games in hopes of Brad being fired so that Clemson can start a new chapter in basketball. We're no different.
Unfortunately it will be a new chapter of the same old book if the only change is the HC. We will go cheap and hire a guy from a small school hoping he does well. He will either get caught cheating, flame out or do well for a couple of years and move to a better job. Meanwhile we as a bball program are worse off than we are now
