a golf tournament that I've seen. Lucas kept grinding and reached deep inside himself on a day that must've felt like he was in ####. He kept fighting despite the sweltering heat and the pressure of being pursued by some of golf's biggest names and former FedEx Cup champions (Cantlay, McIlroy, Spieth).

Well done LG! Hit'em crisp and straight in Chicago!

We'll see you in Augusta next April...I'll be wearing orange.

That heat just seemed to wilt everybody, and nobody could

jar that crucial birdie or two that it would have taken to break out of the pack. Lucas showed some serious intestinal fortitude after that muddy lie and non granted imbedded ball relief. He took the high road, but it was easy to see he was miffed at the time.

I certainly never expected Patrick Cantlay, whom I refer to as "The Plodding Assassion", to hook his tee shot into the water on the playoff hole. He still almost pulled off a miracle par, but we'll take the win, any way it happened!

:)

If they ever pair up Patrick Cantlay and Scottie Scheffler in these next two tourneys, look out for a six hour round!

Cantlay seemed to be cruising and was hitting missiles

off the tee. Wonder if the slight break while he waited for Lucas to finish might have tightened him up a bit. Regardless we'll take it...and mosey on up to Chicago.

Hopefully, Lucas can have two more great outings and force Zach Johnson's hand. Listening to his post-round interview, you could tell that a Ryder Cup invite is something that he really wants.

It was one huge, clutch putt after another on the back 9.

I can't remember seeing a better display of scrambling on a Sunday.

Agreed... Lucas gutted it out.
