Good morning, anyone got any good recommendations for dinner where you have gone recently up there?

Virtually all of the North End restaurants are terrific, but three of my favorites are: Ristorante Villa Francesca located at 150 Richmond Street (right off Hanover Street), Tresca located at 233 Hanover Street (NHL Hall of Famer Ray Bourque is one of the owners), and Pagliuca’s located at 14 Parmenter Street (right off Hanover Street).

Terramia Ristorante, great spot but any Italian spot there will be fantastic. Go around the corner for a cannoli after.

Mikes or Modern for a pastry

both on Hanover St (the main N. End drag)

lots of great sweet stuff at both, both are cash-only

i prefer Modern, they offer a custard-filled cannoli (chocolate too)

the line will likely be shorter at Modern - but lines move quickly at both places


if you want something totally casual, Ernesto's Pizza offers huge slices and cold beer.. great spot for a quick lunch
