It's time for a different leader at the helm of Clemson's men golf program. I can't remember when the program was this bad, and there's really not a lot of hope for the future with the current team/coach.

For 16 years as Larry Penley's associate head coach and recruiting coordinator,Jordan Byrd was a really good recruiter but just don't understand why now he is not able to bring in the talent he once did so regularly.In 3 years now his teams have gone 9th twice and 11th this season when it comes to the ACC tournament and that is very very not like Clemson Golf.I am not saying fire him by no means but he does need to recruit better to get Clemson back to winning more tournaments both regular season and post season wise as he only has 2 tournament wins in 3 seasons.

of NIL $$ available for the Golf Team to use . . . We can’t even recruit the guys we want because we haven’t enough $$$ to attract them. Just what I’ve gathered while chatting with those who know better.

I do not think this is a Coaching Issue . . . Yes, the “buck stops there” . . . But when do players have to take accountability? Shooting +20 when you were within 4 strokes of THIRD PLACE isn’t a Coaching Issue!!!

Just beat UVA 3-2.

I assumed finals were tomorrow, but I just read where finals are today. They better play speed golf to get all five matches in this afternoon. 2:50 and no one has teed off.

After starting today within striking distance of the match play cutoff.

Definitely need to find some good recruits to replace our 3 seniors (assuming no COVID years being used).
