Clemson Tribute to Doug Kingsmore Saturday

Clemson paid a nice tribute to Doug Kingsmore before the doubleheader started on Saturday. Clemson recognized Kingsmore's playing career, which included the 1954 ACC Baseball Championship - Clemson's first ACC Championship in any sport! Kingsmore was also recognized for his professional career with the Baltimore Orioles. The University also thanked him for his contributions as a member of the Board and as a key financial donor to the baseball program.

Kingsmore's son spoke during the tribute. Several generations of family members stood on the field.

Very nice tribute!

So glad that the University made this tribute possible. Mr. Kingsmore was a Clemson man through and through.
