Clowney will never play another down

Just heard a player who had Clowney's surgery say that it's the most grueling leg surgery to come back from and requires months of "hard, hard work" day after day. I just don't see that happening. I don't wish anything bad on Clowney, but his track record says he doesn't have it in him.

He's a great athlete. Elite even.

What's sorry is that he will never live up to his potential. I would have loved him at Clemson. I have no hard feelings for him choosing SC. The fact is that his choice put him with coaches that enabled him to be a slacker. Ability will get you so far but dedication is what pushes talent to the next level. I just don't see it with him.

isn't this the injury that ended Greg Oden's career in b-ball? You may be right, I kind of feel bad for him. The Texans will regret this one for a long time. Could've had Nuk and Sammy

I am pretty sure that is the surgery that Daquan Bowers had. It's tough.

Turf Toe ? He sat out like 3 games under Spurrier with turf toe or nail fungus or some other.
He just simply does not want to work at his craft. He is injured again , this is his pattern for about 2 years running now .

Saw this on Rotoworld earlier:

Colts RT Gosder Cherilus says Jadeveon Clowney is "screwed" after undergoing microfracture knee surgery.
Cherilus had the same operation a couple years ago, but plays a position that doesn't rely on explosion. "They told me I would be back in 12 months. I fought and came back in nine months. But it wasn't right. You are going to deal with stuff for the rest of your career. Period. You have to be extremely disciplined. You have to do all the little things. Man, I'm telling you – it's hard." Clowney, whose drive was questioned in the lead-up to the draft, faces a long, excruciating rehab.
