I have no problem with transgender people in general. It’s not fair though for transgender females to compete against born females in anything. We are at a big disadvantage physically.

Are there enough transgender athletes to create leagues of teams?
The question is irrelevant to the topic at hand. The bottom line is that women's sports were created to level the playing field. Allowing biological men to compete with women completely undermines the purpose of gender-specific sport.
Dawn Staley supporting that idea is preposterous. We all know what would happen if men were to compete in women's sports. The women that the sporting community has fought so hard to support - Title IX, even pay, comparable accommodations, etc - would no longer have realistic opportunities to win. Why build it all up and then sabotage it with men in dresses?

My friend in the LGBT community said this….
“Trans women’s testosterone levels are checked and if they aren’t in the correct level range (matching cis women) they aren’t allowed to compete. Actually goes for cis women as well. When you stop taking testosterone, your muscle mass decreases, physically they have no advantage, science and data has PROVEN it. But they don’t want proof and truth, sadly.”

Will you please explain how Lia Thomas was very low ranked as a male swimmer but the top female swimmer? No advantage?

Agree. As a mom of a young female athlete, I am very nervous of what she may face as she grows up. I’ve already witnessed a team of girls (older age group) playing another team that had a boy who was transitioning to a girl. He was faster and stronger to the point where it wasn’t even fair. If that happens to my daughter, I don’t think I’d be able to handle that with grace. Very shocked a female basketball coach would say something like Dawn said. Just sad

I am thinking that just like the folks on the TV news shows, Dawn Staley has to pay lip service to the people who hired her. She doesn't REALLY want a bunch of men competing against her or playing for her...

She knows they would have an advantage and does not want to come out against them. Other coaches would use her words against her to recruit the trans men to their teams. She is all about winning.

exercise in futility. There is this challenge to normalcy/common sense initiated, set on wearing people down rationally and morally... Many will give in right away to stay on easy street and avoid the perceived social pressures and the others exhaust every fiber in their being to "fight" for the good and end up focusing too much of their energy on pointless worldly narratives that are all designed to distract.
Teach your kids the right way to think (i.e. Biblically) and focus on being a positive force for others instead of these drummed up rats nests... Again..everyone knows the right answer to this question but this world is not concerned with that, never has been.

Those transgenders don’t need to be playing in women’s sports. If they want to play the sport, then play the sport that is your true gender and not go parading around a girls locker room like they should be there. Not no but he77 no. Let them play in a trans league.

example ever in college sports. The few others (something like 0.000146% of student athletes) have been in sports like bowling and cross country at the D3 level (which does not give athletic scholarships).
It would be a big issue if the doomsday scenarios that people bring up would materialize. But it's nowhere close to happening as of yet. I am not saying it would be right just pointing out that lots of people have a misunderstanding of the issue

Dude, the point is to govern it properly now, so it can never be possible for any transgender to take over women’s sport. It already happened in swimming; legitimate females were denied medals because they got cheated by a system that allowed a man to swim against them. It’s easy to put the legislation in now to prevent it from happening anymore. You wait until it’s too late and it becomes much more complicated.

these are sick people who lack any sense of reality in many aspects of everyday life and there are quite a few( more than a few) on here who identify with them. This is stuff we were laughed at when we suggested 10 years ago the democrats were pushing for . And guess what,, boom it’s now trying to be normalized.
Mark it down, next push by these freaks in that voting block is legitimizing underage relationships with adults. At least a push to make it a misdemeanor and overturn sentences of those in prison who have been convicted in the past. These are disturbed weirdos who need no access to the public

I hope every year in the NCAA tournament, Staley's teams get eliminated by a team with transgender players that absolute dominate and embarrass her team. She said it's ok by her.
