Getting ready to watch Da Raidas on the Amazon, and seeing their new coach

prompts a general question.

It seems almost universally, be it college or pro, whenever a coaching change is made in the middle of a season, the team suddenly plays better. Why is that? Most times, the personnel are exactly the same. It happened at Clemson in 2008. It happened for the Raiders this year. It has happened for many others. Could it be that the players are just so embarrassed by the fact that they played so poorly that they cost someone his job, that it prompts the sudden improvement? Or, were the previous coaches just that inept? (Hello, Urban Meyer, from Jacksonville!)

The coach loses the team and they dont believe in him. New coach motivates the team with hope and a fresh start.
