South Carolina Highway 120 is a 17.39 mile state highway that runs from the southwest end at SC 261 in Pinewood to the northeast end at US 76/US 378 in Sumter. Terry Kinard, Wayne Mass, Derrick Witherspoon, and Shawn Weatherly are from Sumter.
 
Shaw Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base about 8 miles northwest of downtown Sumter. It is under the jurisdiction of the USAF Air Combat Command and the 20th Fighter Wing is the host unit, whatever all that means. The base is named after Lieutenant Ervin David Shaw, a Sumter County native and one of the first Americans to fly combat missions in World War I in a Bristol F.2 Fighter plane. Shaw Field was activated in August of 1941 as a basic flying school for air cadets. Advanced flying training began in October of 1942. During World War II, over 8,600 pilots were trained in basic and advanced flying. Today, the 20th Fighter Wing has Operations, Maintenance, Mission Support, and Medical groups. Different versions of the F-16 are the most common fighter jets at Shaw today.

A few miles from SC 120 is Poinsett State Park. Really cool place to visit!

I literally bumped into Shawn Weatherly at the old Fastfare in Clemson my freshman year in 1980. She had been named Miss Universe a few months earlier, and was in town to MC the Clemson Tigerama. I said excuse me, and she said no problem. So.......... I can always say that I have talked to a Miss Universe.

After Clemson:
The Indianapolis Colts selected Deon Cain with the 185th pick (6th Round) of 2018 NFL Draft. According to Wikipedia, he has moved around a bit in his professional career:

Cain was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. In the first preseason game, Cain suffered a torn ACL after a promising training camp, prematurely ending his rookie season. Cain was placed on injured reserve on August 12, 2018. He made his NFL debut in the Colts' 2019 season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. In the 30–24 loss, he had two receptions for 35 yards. He was waived on November 9.
Pittsburgh Steelers
On November 16, 2019, Cain was signed off the Colts practice squad by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 6 games with the Steelers, Cain caught 5 passes for 72 yards.
He was waived on September 5, 2020, and was signed to the practice squad the next day. He was elevated to the active roster on October 17 and January 2, 2021, for the team's weeks 6 and 17 games, each against the Cleveland Browns, and reverted to the practice squad after each game. His practice squad contract with the team expired after the season on January 18, 2021.
Baltimore Ravens
On January 22, 2021, Cain signed a reserve/futures contract with the Baltimore Ravens. On August 31, 2021, he was placed on injured reserve, and released three days later.
Philadelphia Eagles (first stint)
On October 18, 2021, Cain was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles on January 18, 2022.
On August 30, 2022, Cain was waived by the Eagles and signed to the practice squad the next day. He was released on October 31, 2022.[
On November 11, 2022, the Tennessee Titans hosted Cain for a workout.
Birmingham Stallions (first stint)
On March 8, 2023, Cain signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL). He caught 16 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns. He was named 2023 USFL Championship Game MVP after he caught three touchdown passes when his team won the championship game at the end of the season. His contract was terminated after the season on July 10, 2023, to sign with an NFL team.
Philadelphia Eagles (second stint)
On July 25, 2023, Cain signed with the Eagles. He was released on August 27, 2023, as part of final roster cuts before the start of the 2023 season.
Birmingham Stallions (second stint)
On November 30, 2023, Cain re-signed with the Stallions.

It was no surprise that Cain signed with an NFL team in Summer 2023 after his dominant performance led Birmingham to win the USFL Championship. According to Sports Illustrated:
Deon Cain is turning an incredible USFL Championship Game performance into receiving another shot at the NFL. Playing for the Birmingham Stallions over the last few months, Cain's regular season stats were middling with a few impressive moments here and there. However, he shined in the biggest moment the USFL has to offer.
In the USFL Championship Game, Cain caught 4 passes, 3 of which resulted in touchdowns for a total of 70 yards. He also added 101 return yards as well, which able highlights his potential versatility to any team watching. The performance catapulted the Stallions to a 28-12 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers.

Hopefully, he can find some stability with a team and get some good playing time.
