If it’s not between the knees and ankles it’s a ball. Doesn’t matter how far off the plate it is, if it’s between the knees and ankles, it’s a strike.

Well, if he is consistent for both teams, it is no advantage for either team. It does take away some hits by both teams. It favors the pitchers that can control low pitches.
