Is there any risk to sending low-voltage current through one's testikles?

Here's the background. Being that I'm nearly at the summit, I — of course — recked my neck sleeping. And, as you fellas who have been 'round the block know, this is a turf-toe level injury in which you're basically riding it out in misery for a week or two. A TENS machine was recommended to me, which for you young bucks not in the know, is basically a reverse multimeter but where the ledes are connected to two pair of electrodes rather than probes, upon which adjustable electrical current is passed through for the purposes of nerve stimulation. It feels like a massager, but it's electrical current making your muscles twitch. It feels pretty dang good, even though if there's enough juice and they're connected to your neck, it can throw your chin into your shoulder (thereby making moot the thought from manac's comment the other night about tasers about whether I could power through one). This brings me to my question. As I mentioned, it's completely adjustable, like a shock collar, and is only powered by two double-As; so we're not talking a ton of amps (or volts, or gigawatts, or whatever). So it got me thinking. What if I put two of these stickers on the old hangdowns and see how it goes. For the sake of argument, pretend I've been snipped and whether my swimmers catch a ride on old sparky is not a concern. Is there any other potential fallout? I have heard, I think, electrical stimulation is potential option for ED, so my primary concern of electrocuting the life out of my pocket rocket is actually the reverse of what I'm thinking; in fact that's the theory I'm chasing now. My wife has given me the all clear, and her head was actually more or less in the same place as mine (she, unprompted, asked if I tried it). Just looking for any expert opinion before I zap sack.
