Players should’ve always been able to earn money that’s not a question but keeping up with recruiting/development of players is gone. It’s just a joke at this point in all honesty.

Doesn’t bother me supporting the site as it’s the way they feed their families. It’s not a never ending hole being filled with money that’s never going to stop.

in the SEC or Big 10. Can't put this genie back in the bottle now. HOWEVER, "student" (haha) athletes shouldn't be recruited based on dollars but that's what is happening. NIL/Transfer Portal are libtard disasters that are destroying what made big time college athletics great.

Sooooo, the political left is pro economic free markets and the political right is anti economic free markets. Did you run this by George Will, Bill Kristol or the WSJ Editorial Board?

I’m right, you’re wrong. Doesn’t matter what you choose to write. People like yourself don’t know from the inside what the changes are doing. Make them employees so you can fire players like DJU when they struggle. Hope that’s what you want because that’s where it’s heading. I give it less than 5 years. Come back, I’ll be glad to say “ I told you so”.

I keep up with our commitment list, but I definitely don't care about a recruit releasing his top 5 teams. As far as football as whole, I still love it. I can't wait for the season and the 12 team playoff.

The football portion is the sloppiest it’s been in years past champions would wipe the floor with teams of today. What separated CFB from NFL is getting destroyed with a lesser product to watch just don’t get it.

Yet you are still here and will be watching CU football this year.

Awfully strong words that weren't thought out well.

The word "literally" has become the "ummmmm" of speech fillers in 2024, and literally doesn't mean what it literally used to anymore.

In this sense it does probably should’ve used better word then care just getting harder to justify the investment of time/money

I don't follow recruiting any more. I don't come on TNet every day any more. I don't even watch every game live if there is something I need to do. I never thought I would feel this way about my Alma Mater. I thought I may retire around Clemson one day but that is not even a thought at this point.

Most fans probably don't keep up with recruiting and development of players. They just watch the games and cheer for their team.

A few backups transferring out doesn't have much impact on my fan experience. I just hope we can replace them with equally good or better players.

Sad state of affairs

Glad I came up in the days where players were heroes, loyal to the school, appreciative of the fans, and generally played at one place. Think of all the sad youngsters wearing jerseys of players who followed the money.

Some of my favorite players were “late bloomers”, who got a chance on special teams or practice squads, made the most of it, and developed into solid contributors. Stars still stick around for the most part, but the diamonds in the rough are a disappearing breed. No one wants to pay their dues and win a spot any more.

At Junior Day or after a camp or big recruiting weekend, I’d tell my son I’ll get excited when the recruit signs the papers and enrolls. Now even that is no real guarantee. The genie is out of the bottle and Dabo will manage it how he believes is the best way. It’s all that we can expect. I think we can field a competitive team recruiting the players Dabo can get in his system. I’ll still get excited/anxious to watch my Tigers play as I have for almost 60 years but I’m not going to get worked up over football recruiting like I used to.
