Just become a national power in the last few years by chance. A LOT of things had to happen that accelerated this move to the very top. It began with the promotion of coach Swinney by the AD to the head coaching position. His knowledge of the game and his total devotion to the young men who call themselves Tigers was paramount to building Clemson into a national powerhouse. It was ALL done the right way from the very beginning and our Tigers have definitely become a front page football team …. And will remain so as long as the coach and his staff have the total support of everything AND everyone Clemson. It disturbs me that the ACC doesn’t look at Clemson quite like I Do ! Football wise —- the ACC is Clemson … with apologies to FSU and a few other wannabes! Clemson has a big coattail for the league to ride and they best do it. Unfortunately we can’t blame this one on Swofford!
