mainly because he mentions offers from Georgia, Tennessee, USC, Michigan St, etc. Note, Clemson was not among those mentioned. I go back several years ago, and this is before NIL, when Jeff Scott told a large group of Clemson supporters at a luncheon that, “Within five minutes of a home visit we know whether or not we want to continue to recruit that individual. Translation…”What’s in it for me? With the unbelievable five star talent, egos, and NIL payments Georgia has, I cannot imagine how they can have a true, close team bond. My college roommate is an Athens native and has always been a Georgia fan but he told me that the parking lot outside the Georgia football facility during spring practice looked like a “Exclusive Foreign Car Dealership.”
