Friday and as a result some of the current Twitter employees are freaking out that they may lose their jobs. Apparently Elon made a statement about cutting 75% of Twitter's staff a couple of days ago.

In true activist, self entitled fashion - some Twitter employees have drafted an open letter of demands to Elon Musk:

The employees circulated an open letter pushing back against being 'pawns in a game played by billionaires'


It will be interesting to see if any Twitter employees actually sign this letter. If they do then this will be a good list for Musk to have when it comes time to identify who to fire.

I guess it never occurred to the authors of this letter that maybe instead of demanding things of the new boss they might actually want to provide compelling evidence as to whey they add value to Musk's soon to be company and should not be fired. But as with many lazy people who are overly self entitled - it's always easier to complain about the dark than it is to light a candle.

have drafted a letter not "most" Twitter employees have drafted a letter.

But to address your question in the generic - through many years of leading organizations from 30 people to 2000+ I have found that lazy folks almost always have a common characteristic - they would rather whine and complain instead of putting in the work - particularly when faced with change. This draft open letter is the epitome of that kind of lazy - basically demands the current Twitter status quo which no new management team in their right mind would ever agree too.
