They are the ones that change the pay structure to favor veterans. Tee hasn’t been payed and Cincy basically said we’re keeping you but not going to pay you market value for your services. Pay the man or trade the man!

That’s not true. Higgins will be paid nearly $22M on the franchise tag in 2024.

who's clearly ignorant of the reality that unions BUILT the middle class in America...the same middle class that's been taking it on the chin ever since ignorant people started *believing* anti-union propaganda. The last thing management wants is workers standing up for themselves. Follow the money, idjit.

but would love to see the Jags scope up Higgins, Renfrow and Wilkins.
Then see them draft Nate Wiggins.

He has to be paid top pay because of the franchise tag on him. Sounds like there must be other issues besides pay.

year but if something happens to him like it did to Reader then he could be screwed beyond next year. Still unknown what and where Reader will sign for but it will be substantially less than the contract he was headed toward until late in the year. Reader may need to even take a 1 year deal to try to prove he can still reach the same level of play. Tee is trying to avoid being in that boat.

Not surprised....the Brown family (owner of the Bengals) have always been a Mom & Pop type dollar store of franchise. I was shocked when they gave Joe Burrow a new contract a few years ago. It's sad the Higgins has to go through this. Too much like right for them to pay this young man or trade him.

The big escalation in QB salaries has had a HUGE effect on teams being able to

resign top talent like Higgins, and still remain under the salary cap. Twenty years ago, it would have been unthinkable for teams to be cutting top performing talent, trading them away, or just letting them walk away in free agency. Nowadays, it has become common. And, in Higgins case, although he WILL be making good "one year money" on the franchise tag, any player will tell you that long term contracts with guaranteed money are what they are after. They all know they could be one horrific injury away from their earning power being gone.

He is mad because the team isnt communicating with him. He says he hasnt had any contact and they are blowing him off. He is frustrated.
