and working less hours for same pay, so in effect another huge increase.

I did a quick calc - they are asking for a 46% increase and a 32 hour work week but get paid for 40 hours. This computes to a 82.5% raise.

And they want pensions back.

Wowsa.

are going to find ways to automate their jobs out of existence. I understand paying people an honest wage for what they do but the price of a car is already high bordering on extremely high for most consumers. When the monthly payments on a brand new car rivals a rent/mortgage payment things have gotten a little wacky...

I get $105 for 8 hours of substitute teaching.

Even for a long term sub job.

So $525/40 hours = $13.125/hr. Problem is I'm working 60 hours a week, so $8.75/hr.

What is minimum wage these days?
