Every pitcher can be effective if batters take strikes, then swing at pitches out of the strike zone, which is what we do in games against good competition. If you notice, in games where we get a lot of hits, we also get a lot of walks, hit batters, etc. so when pitchers "have" to come over the plate, we nail em. In games against good competition where we don't get a lot of walks, we swing at the bad ones and take the good ones for strikes. I know that in baseball, teams lose games. Granted. But if you look at our losses this year, they are all identical except the one blowout loss.
