...from the ACC or SEC? In football, when two non-conference P5 teams play each other in the regular season, the officials are from the conference of the away team. Is that how it's supposed to be with baseball too? I know many are saying they were from the SEC and I wasn't sure if that was nothing more than pure assumption or if it was in fact true. I listened to the radio broadcast and they made no mention of it. Maybe the espnu broadcast did? Regardless, that was the worst call in baseball (college or MLB) I've ever seen and every member of that crew needs to be suspended and investigated at the very least. However, while that call was more than likely the deciding factor in terms of going to extras, we did have opportunities later in the game before extras to get insurance runs but didn't capitalize on them. Hopefully we can win the series against an up and down Louisville team this weekend.

SEC. Jeff Head is a veteran umpire that blew the HR call. He is always in the middle of controversy. Still not sure how the replay did not overturn the call on the field. Jeff Head is from Hoover, AL so there you go.

I watch very little college baseball becvause the umps are so bad. Especial behind the plate.

That's not how it always works in football. UGA an example. They will not allow apposing conference referees on their home games. I remember this from when we last played them in Athens.
