What was your initial symptoms that caused you to test?

Right now I have a scratchy/sore throat. Lots of sinus drainage, and a cough that isn't that bad.

So now I get to play the COVID or Cold game

Double vaxed and boosted. So I'm not sure what I should be experiencing to warrant a test

I like your funny words magic man

Only reason I tested is because I had to, for work.

For their process. Because I had a close contact, I was required to get tested. Otherwise, it doesn't matter. I just stay at home if I'm sick...doesn't really make a material difference if it's COVID or not. I take action, whether that's going to a doctor, ER, or whatever, based on the symptoms as they present, again regardless of whether it's COVID.

Headache, sore throat, fever

The headache and sore throat were very mild to the point where I almost couldn't tell. I woke up at like 3:30 in the morning and took my temp and it was 99.6 or something. My wife was working that day and was on the way out the door a little later and gave me a hug and was like "wow, you are super hot" (and she wasn't talking about in the good way). Mostly was just gut feeling that I should get tested. Stayed home and did a home test, which came back negative. Still had that feeling in my gut so went and sat at doc in the box and tested positive.

MauldinT, where are you???

Wait a few days, then test, all I can suggest.

And swab your throat if you're doing it at home. We are officially on round 2 here in our house. Round one was literally a cold for everyone vaxxed in the house. But try and wait 3-4 days to test from the first symptoms. Lots of false negatives first day.

Oldest son got it first last time, 2-3 days before Christmas. Then we all joined in over the kitchen table at Christmas, got the whole family in on it. I tested negative, so did son. Well, we had it, false negative. Wife and other two sons later tested positive as they also got it.

FFWD to yesterday. Oldest son had sniffles one night (before last), yesterday AM he woke up aching and weak. Tested negative yesterday, but spiked a decent fever last night. Slept all afternoon and night. So took him to the pediatrician today (negative test already). Wife thought maybe the flu. They tested him again, positive this time.

So anyway, I'm feeling weak and achy too, but so far that's it. Probably have it, kinda assuming it at this point, again. Been weak and achy two days now. No sniffles. Slight fever last night. Bout it.

The first time I had no symptoms, but my Mom was coming to visit who is in here late 70's so I got tested and found out I had it. The second time I had a pneumonia and while in the hospital they said I had it.

Same symptoms my wife had over Christmas Break. She never felt horrible…like a cold.

That has been over a month ago and while she did start to feel better for a week or so in early Jan…she is now dealing with extreme fatigue and a lingering cough. Doc says lingering/long Covid possible. She was vaxed, but only the J&J…was planning a booster when she got sick.

Initial symptom? Felt like a freight train hit me. Lol. I tested just to do my duty but there was never a doubt. That was now about 14 months ago though.

Fever, I'd say. Then you at least need to be checked to have

a guess if you can spread it.

I got The Vid before the vax was available. I KNEW I had it - fever, couldn't taste anything, couldn't breathe.

Hopefully - if you have it, it'll be mild.
