I think a lot of people have heard the news about the vaccine and they think that the end is in sight. i hope that they are right, but i have some concerns.

I am very worried about this winter spike in Covid cases and deaths. Almost 2200 Americans died on Nov 24th. That is 91 people per hour. And it only promises to get worse.

But I am also a little worried about about our rushed vaccines. There is a reason that the FDA usually takes a lot longer on these things. And there is a ton of pressure on these research teams - both financial and otherwise. Maybe this AstraZeneca problem is just the first crack in the facade.

And I am also worried about the number of people who say that they will not take the vaccine once it has been approved. It will be impossible to reach herd immunity if these people can't be convinced that they should take the vaccine.

that is why we test it out on nursing home patients first, to make sure it is safe for the of us. ;)
