If uof6c had the money they would have sent his a$$ packing last year.
Now, because of all the COVID-related budget cuts and shortfalls, they dang sure don't have it.

He will be there 2 more years regardless of record because Tanner screwed the pooch, cat and goldfish with that contract. Even then the buyout is ridiculous but at some point the bleeding will have to be stopped but not for 2 years! The gift that keeps on giving, and Mrs Muschamp is happy!

My biggest (and maybe only) worry is that Muschamp will be there long enough to get their new QB commit on campus and that he will still be young enough for a new coach to come in and actually make him a decent player.

No need to worry. UofSC has a long and treasured tradition of bring in highly touted QBs only to have them suck.

As long as Connor Shaw is around that program, he will stay committed. That’s why he’s going there. His high school coach is Shaw’s brother and he grew up idolizing Connor Shaw.

I expect the Athletic Dept. will ask for donations from the many boosters they when they get their next stimulus check. After all they certainly didn't spend any of the previous checks on tickets for this season.

The conundrum then will be; buying out Muschump vs paying artist to turn their hen into a rooster. Decisions decisions.

money. His far left friends from other states have plenty of money to buy him a senate seat. Perhaps they could buy some votes by buying out Muschamp.

They say 100 million. For that Jamie might even accept the position.

This is the really funny part of that article...
“The idea was coach Muschamp’s idea, not my suggestion, not my urging,” athletics director Ray Tanner said on a conference call Tuesday.
Hahahaha. Has there ever been a more incompetent AD?? He got them into this mess and doesn’t even have the wherewithal to get them out.

Poor Lamecocks... they are stuck with muscle cramp. I wish they would get a decent coach. This is no longer a "rivalry".

If they were to win tow or three games in a row some drunkasscoot would buy it and put it on his manicured lake house lawn on Lake Murray.

Oh I’m sure they have the money but why waste it. I honestly can’t think of a coach that would say “Oh yeah that’s my dream job.” They might get a retread again but I don’t see anyone really successful leaving there current job for them. They are doomed to struggle unless the luck up and get an up and comer.

There are a lot of coaches that would love to get locked in to a high buyout situation
