It looks to me that Ellis Johnson has taken a nice step forward in his career.
Southern Miss has an all time winning percentage of .591, amassing 548 wins since 1914.
The gamecocks are at a paltry 5.04, winning 553 while having a 24 year head start in the sport over southern miss, starting in 1892. That number is expected to drop back below .500 in February.
Southern Miss has won 2 national championships prior to joining 1a football and it won 3 of the first 4 conference championships after joining conference USA.
SCU has no national titles and one conference championship over 40 years ago.
Southern Miss has a 14-12 advantage with its instate rival Miss state, a series started 27 years ago.
SCU is 40-63 all time vs its in state rival clemson
Southern Miss is a tier 2 national University ranking in at 86.
SCU is Tier 3 and not ranked inside the top 100 National Universities.
Southern miss is noted for its beautiful rural campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, only 100 miles from New Orleans and Marti-Gras.

I swear 34-13 must sting more than I thought. This board has been coots 24/7 for years now. And please tell me about this short cut to get to Atlanta in 110 miles from Columbia. It's roughly 110 miles from clemson, but I had no idea it was the same distance to Columbia.

110 miles as the chicken flies. and I could honestly care less about our game with you, I rather beat VT. You guys had that game scheduled between Wofford and open date, so who cares more?

Come on now.Let's be fair.SCU has had some very notable graduates in it's illustrious history;
Five Civil War Generals( all on the losing side).
Actor M. Colter.You know Mike,don't you?
Lauren Hill,former playmate.
Melvin Purvis,former FBI agent who probably helped arrest some of those convicts.And
C.Blease,who was expelled for plagiarism,but went on to become an U.S.Senator,and P.Brooks,who was expelled for trying to free his brother from prison ,and went on to become a U.S.Representive from S.C.
