Former Clemson running back Tyshon Dye passed away at the age of 25 when he drowned at Lake Russell in Russell B. State Park on Friday. He was a Clemson graduate and a member of Clemson's 2016 squad that won the program's second national championship.

A Gofundme page has been started by former Tigers J.K. Jay and Jonathan Meeks to help Dye's family with funeral and other expenses.

"Tyshon was a tremendous person that impacted the lives of all he came in contact with," the Gofundme page states. "He had a smile that could not help but brighten up your day and encourage you. He was an incredible teammate and person. We are all better people for having known him. We are all heartbroken over the tragic and sudden loss."

$3,645 has been raised of the $25,000 goal as of Saturday afternoon.
