Report: Spiller signs with NFL playoff team

by - Staff Writer -

C.J. Spiller is back in the NFL. He's also back with the Kansas City Chiefs.

A day after watching his Tigers play in the Sugar Bowl, Kansas City Star Terez A. Paylor reported Tuesday morning that Spiller is back with K.C., just in time for hosting Tennessee on Jan. 6 (4:20 p.m. kickoff).

K.C. and Spiller's odd relationship goes back to his signing there in February. He was dropped just before the season started, re-signed and cut and re-signed in a week's span in September.

He was released again on Sept. 16 and signed back a month later, only to be dropped the next week.

The former 2010 first-round pick has played in one game this season and has two carries for zero yards. He has 3,451 career rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, as well as 1,484 receiving yards and nine more touchdowns.
