Clemson slips in latest AP Poll |
Clemson (6-0, 3-0) slipped one spot to a #6 ranking with 1,252 points in the latest AP Poll on Sunday after the Tigers' defeated Boston College 34-17 on Saturday night.
The Tigers received a first-place vote in the poll as they were one of six teams that received a nod as the best team in the nation. ACC rival Florida State was ranked #9 this week in the AP Poll and Duke made the rankings at #23. ACC school Pittsburgh makes an appearance at a ranking of #25 which is the first time the school has been ranked since 2010. Ohio State has the most weeks ranked #1 in the Poll in all-time history with 103. Temple is 22nd in the nation and it is the first time it has been ranked in the AP poll in 36 years (1979). Clemson will play at Miami on Saturday at noon on ABC.
