ESPN's McShay projects Beasley in Top 15 |
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has released his
NFL Mock Draft 5.0 and has Clemson's
Vic Beasley
Vic Beasley "I have Beasley ranked as the No. 41 prospect on my board, but I know many evaluators are higher on him than I am," McShay's wrote on ESPN.com. "He was incredibly productive at Clemson and blew the doors off the combine with an exceptional workout, but the lack of physicality and power to his game is concerning to me. Still, the Saints' biggest need is at pass-rusher, and Beasley has the potential to be a good one." Don't be surprised if the Saints trade up to get Beasley if the price is not too high for them. Beasley accumulated 33 sacks, an amazing 52.5 tackles for loss at Clemson and was a two-time first-team All-American. He was also selected as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. Other ACC players listed in the mock draft include Jameis Winston (#1 overall), DeVante Parker (#12 overall), Cameron Erving (#18 overall), Kevin Johnson (#24 overall), Ereck Flowers (#25 overall), Eli Harold (#29 overall) and Phillip Dorsett (#31 overall). Beasley is ranked #18th in a composite ranking composed of the following analysts: Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, NFL.com and CBSSports.com.
