Local golf course has a Clemson football field

by - Assoc. Editor -

The Reserve at Lake Keowee is a golf course in the upstate that is roughly 20 miles from Clemson's campus.

The great lawn on the property near the course's clubhouse has installed a giant Clemson paw logo on their half-sized football field.

“We have such a strong relationship with the university and we wanted to find a unique way to show our support while the football team is on a truly historic run,” Director of sales Rutledge Livingston said in a press release. “We think this is a pretty cool way of doing that.”

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has been a member of the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course since 2009.

The course will co-host the Clemson Invitational at the Lake Keowee golf tournament in the Spring of 2016.
