Report: Clemson hires new defensive analysis coach |
Clemson has hired Lemanski Hall as a defensive analysis and research development coach according to a report from
Nashville-based journalist Mo Patton.
Hall previously was a coach at The Ensworth School in Nashville after a nine-year career in the NFL with the Chicago Bears (1998), Dallas Cowboys (1999), Houston Oilers (1994-1997) and Minnesota Vikings (2000-2002). Hall had 126 tackles, 4.0 sacks and three forced fumbles during his NFL career. He was a seventh round draft pick by the Oilers in the 1994 NFL Draft. He will be working with Clemson's linebackers and helping in recruiting. “It’s under the ‘player development’ umbrella. I’ll be helping with linebackers and doing everything as far as recruiting and camps. I’ll get all the knowledge of what college coaching is about. I’m really excited. It’ll be a lot of the things I’ve done the last seven or eight years at Ensworth as far as building relationships with kids.” He was a teammate of Dabo Swinney as he played for Alabama from 1990-1993 where he was a two-time all-Southeastern conference linebacker. “I used to come over for a game a year since Dabo was receivers coach,” Hall said. “I’ve always been intrigued by what they bring to the table. It impressed me a lot.” *Here are some short videos of Hall teaching fundamentals to linebackers and cornerbacks.
