Clemson has offered 3-star defensive back Tony Pride from Greer, South Carolina on Thursday according to his Twitter account.
Pride was a former Virginia Tech commit back in February but re-opened his commitment in mid-November due to coaching changes and has received new offers. TigerNet has been at Shrine Bowl practices this week and has been impressed with the play of Pride. Pride has national offers from App State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Marshall, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. The in-state target has taken official visits to Notre Dame and North Carolina State so far in the recruiting process. He had 1,562 all-purpose yards and 20 touchdowns playing wide receiver and returning kicks on offense this season and was named Region II-3A Player of the Year. He was been invited to play in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl.
