Mitch Hyatt was a top target for the Dallas Cowboys in free agency after the NFL draft.
ESPN reports the Cowboys signed the consensus All-American with a clause guaranteeing $130,000 of his $495,000 base salary in addition to a $20,000 signing bonus. Per ESPN's Todd Archer, that's more in bonus money than they paid 2018 sixth-round pick Cedrick Wilson ($118,408) and seventh-round selection Bo Scarbrough ($85,552). The guaranteed money figure is also higher than projected picks late in the sixth round and the seventh round of the 2019 draft, per Spotrac.
