Elliott gives timetable for return of McCloud, Crowder

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott said on Monday during media interviews that wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud and offensive lineman Tyrone Crowder are week to week after suffering injuries against Florida State.

Elliott said that either one returning in time for this weekend's game "will be a stretch."

"The good thing is it is injuries they can recover from and it is really just how their bodies respond," Elliott said. "So we don't know, but probably this week will be a stretch for those guys I would imagine. I'm sure they will do everything they need to do. Danny Poole and his staff does unbelievable job getting our guys back. So it is really going to be how their bodies respond."

McCloud sprained the MCL in his knee while Crowder suffered a toe turf injury.

Elliott said the Tigers might move Germone Hopper behind Artavis Scott to replace McCloud, but Charone Peake has also played there.
