According to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Times, the best chance to determine the No. 1 sprinter in Florida could come at the new Flrunners.com Primetime meet March 4-5 at Charlotte High. The featured 100-meter dash is expected to match three reigning double state champions (100m, 200m): North Broward Prep's Jerimy Strainge (2A), Orlando Boone's Marvin Bracy (4A) and Charlotte's Mike Bellamy (3A).
Bracy is a class of 2012 WR with offers from Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Miami and others. Jerimy Strainge, who won the Florida 2A 100m and 200m last year as a freshman, is considering giving up football to concentrate on track and becoming the first Florida high school athlete to sweep the 100m and 200m all 4 years of high school.
